Program

Canticles & Carillons is an exciting program filled with some of the all-time great hits of sacred music arranged for handbells, plus a surprise or two we know you’ll enjoy. We’re especially proud to play a gorgeous arrangement of Brahms’ How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place from A German Requiem, as well as demonstrating some major show-stoppers like Dean Wagner’s Te Deum and Fred Gramann’s Prelude on Herzliebster Jesu. And we have some beautiful quiet moments as well, particularly with a pair of arrangements by Stanley Leonard, the distinguished retired principal timpanist of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

Parking

If driving to Church of the Ascension for our concert, you may use the gated parking lot at Oakland Catholic High School, accessible from North Craig Street just past the Park Plaza apartments as you travel north from Fifth Avenue. As you slowly approach the black gate, it will swing open. Click here for more details. From that parking lot, Church of the Ascension is just across Neville Street.
