ARSWe’d like to give a huge “thank you” to Andy Seay, our Managing Director and Associate Conductor. Since our inception 4 years ago, Andy has been a major motivating force in getting this young, start-up performing arts organization off the ground and running. And run we have! In the last 4 years, Three Rivers Ringers has recruited a talented cadre of handbell musicians, set ever-increasing standards of musical excellence, performed over 45 concerts, managed 6 big educational events, has received 501(c)3 charitable tax status, has had balanced budgets every year, has had its first recording session, and has purchased its own set of handbells and chimes. Andy has been instrumental in all of these successes. So when Andy told us he was stepping down from the Managing Director position this fall, for personal reasons, we were both sad to see him leave the position, and proud at what he has helped us accomplish. Andy will continue to be involved on the artistic side of the organization as our Associate Conductor.

As a result, Three Rivers Ringers (TRR) is seeking to fill its Managing Director (MD) position.

The MD is responsible for the day-to-day operations of TRR with a primary focus on generating revenue.  The MD finds concert venues, negotiates concert fees and/or ticketing and leads fundraising efforts.  The MD will also schedule performance dates for the Spring 2015 and Winter 2015 Concert series in coordination with the Artistic Director.

This is a paid position. The MD is expected to attend the monthly meeting with the TRR Board of Directors and other meetings as needed.  Other duties include working with the Board on setting the budget, overseeing the general business operation of TRR, and coordinating with volunteers. The full job description is available, upon request, from TRR.

Knowledge of handbells is not needed for this position.  Arts Management skills and experience are preferred, but not required.

This position is to begin November 1, 2014.  Please note that all December concert venues are already confirmed as are many for Spring, 2015.

Interested candidates should contact Linda Minnotte, President of the TRR Board of Directors, for more information at lindaminnotte@gmail.com or 412-848-3233.
